Clue Detectives: Movie Challenge

The game sparks lively, engaging discussions and shared interaction among the participants throughout the experience.

In this completely new kind of “quiz,” each team is equipped with two or four mobile devices and takes on movie-themed clue challenges. Each device receives a steady stream of unique clues at short intervals, and it’s up to the team to review them, compare insights, and discuss their observations. Only through true collaboration can the team uncover the correct answer as quickly as possible — the solution can be found by working together.

Purpose of the Game

Clue Detectives: Movie Challenge is an easy-to-run, energizing game designed to keep meeting participants refreshed and engaged throughout the day. It also works perfectly as a highly interactive team-building activity.

Each part of the game offers a change of pace, helping to reset the mind and provide a refreshing break from the meeting. The collaborative mental challenges sharpen focus and boost cognitive performance, supporting greater productivity when the meeting resumes.

A touch of friendly competition adds extra energy and creates a lively, positive atmosphere.

Game Duration

Recommended game duration: 15-60 minutes.

The game consists of 1–4 short parts, which can be played all at once, spread throughout the day, during lunch, or over dinner.

Each team can progress through the game at its own pace. Not everyone needs to start the parts at the same time.

Number of Participants

The game works just as well for small groups as for events with several hundred participants.

Players compete in small teams of 4–12 people, using two or four mobile devices per team.

Team size is flexible, but we recommend 1–3 players per device—choose what feels most natural. Teams and devices can have varying numbers of players.

Example of a Clue Challenge (What's the Movie?)

Unique clues about a well-known movie appear on four different mobile devices every 15 seconds. The clues on each device are presented from a distinct, carefully defined perspective.

Device 1 – Style, tone, production
Device 2 – Cast, director, production team
Device 3 – Setting, themes, symbols
Device 4 – Plot

An example is shown below. Each player sees the clues displayed at the bottom of their screen.
