QUIZ BINGO - STARTING INSTRUCTIONS

Before the event

  1. Make sure you have the JOIN CODE that you received for your activity.
  2. Make sure participants’ phone batteries are as fully charged as possible. This helps ensure smooth participation and reduces the risk of interruptions.
  3. If you wish, you can prepare for the activity in advance as follows:
    • It is recommended that all participants install the free ActionTrack app (Google Play / App Store) on their phones.
    • Participants can be divided in advance into teams (= clans) that together use four mobile devices. Each mobile device can be shared by 1–3 team members so that everyone can clearly see the tasks. The recommended team size is 4–8 people.
    • Team captains can also be appointed in advance.

Event – short introduction

Welcome to the Quiz Bingo game! Split into teams and choose a captain whose phone will act as the team’s main device. The captain installs the ActionTrack app, downloads the game using the join code, creates a clan for the team, and joins the clan. From the remaining team members, choose three who also install the ActionTrack app, download the game, and join the clan after the captain.

Once the teams are ready, begin by reading the instructions. Everyone should then stop at the “WAIT!” screen. When I say “Go!”, everyone taps the “Continue” button and the game time begins. Have a great game!

Event – detailed introduction

Dear participants, a warm welcome to the Quiz Bingo game! Before we get started, we need to do the following:

1. Form teams

Teams (= clans) use a total of four mobile devices. Each mobile device can be shared by 1–3 team members so that everyone can clearly see the tasks. The recommended team size is 4–8 people.

Team sizes may vary – that is not a problem. Choose a team setup that feels right for you.

2. Choose a team captain

The captain uses the team’s main mobile device (phone or tablet).

The device should be:

  • relatively new

  • fully charged

  • equipped with a properly functioning GPS

Note: The game cannot be continued on another device, so make sure the device works properly before starting.

3. The captain installs the ActionTrack app

Download the free ActionTrack app from Google Play or the App Store. Grant all requested permissions so the game functions correctly.

4. Downloading the game and creating a clan

Captain:

  • Downloads the game using the join code

  • Enters their player name

  • Creates a clan for the team (Clan view → “Create new”)

  • Gives the clan a name and password

  • Joins the created clan first by entering the password

If the password is forgotten right at the beginning, the captain can easily create a new clan with a new password.

Other team members:

Select three team members who:

  • Install the ActionTrack app

  • Download the game using the join code

  • Enter their preferred player name

  • Join the clan created by the captain by selecting it from the list and entering the password

5. Starting the game

Players / teams will first see the game instructions and then stop at the “WAIT!” screen.

When I say “Go!”, everyone taps the “Continue” button and the game time begins.

BRIEFLY ABOUT THE QUIZ BINGO ACTIVITY

Instructions for the game itself

Quiz Bingo combines knowledge, tactics, and luck in a completely new way. In this unique mix of a full 75-ball bingo and a quiz game, teams earn their chosen bingo balls by answering questions correctly. The faster teams form one-row, two-row, and full-card bingos, the more bonus points they earn.

Please note: The game includes all necessary instructions.

On the captain’s phone, you will see a 5×5 bingo card on the map. Zoom and move the map view to find it.

At the very beginning, there are already 15 balls around the card. New bingo balls are drawn at regular intervals and appear around the card.

To mark a number on the card, the captain must select one of the drawn balls that corresponds to a number on the card. After that, the team must answer the given question correctly. The question is visible to all team members, but only the captain can submit the answer.

Team members may either see the captain’s question exactly as it appears on their own phones, or they may see device-specific content that others do not see. In all cases, the team must discuss and solve the task together.

Please note that the sum of the last two balls you selected also counts. For example, if you select balls 10 and 7 and the card has the number 17, you will receive a mark for number 17.

In addition to base points, bonuses are awarded to the 10 fastest teams for each type of bingo:

  • One row: 50–1,000 points (the fastest earns 1,000 points)

  • Two rows: double bonuses (the fastest earns 2,000 points)

  • Full card: triple bonuses (the fastest earns 3,000 points)

The team with the highest total score wins!
