Quiz Bingo

Quiz Bingo combines knowledge, strategy, and a bit of luck in a unique and exciting way.

This game is a fusion of a full 75-ball bingo and a trivia quiz, where teams earn their chosen bingo ball by correctly answering a question. Bonus points are awarded based on how quickly teams achieve 1-line, 2-line, and full house bingos.

Purpose of the game

Quiz Bingo is perfect for team-building among group members before a meeting or perhaps before dinner.

The game takes trivia to a whole new level. Now, it’s not just about answering one question after another, but the team must follow the drawn balls, pick them off the card, and form bingo lines as quickly as possible by considering that even the sum of two consecutively chosen balls counts.

In the game, assigning the right roles to team members is crucial.

The game allows you to choose the desired topic areas for the questions and incorporate your own questions.

You can bring your own, customized questions for your meeting or event. The teams’ answers and statistics are immediately visible and can be utilized during the meeting itself.

Additionally, the game provides the opportunity to use TAZ’s question sets. Your custom questions can be set to appear at the beginning, giving them a priority.

Game duration and adaptation to events of different sizes

Recommended game duration: 30-60 minutes.

The game is organized in a single session, without breaks. It can be experienced at the beginning of the day or while waiting for dinner.

The game is perfect for events of all sizes.

It works just as well for small groups as for events with thousands of participants.

Gameplay overview

1. Game start

The game setup only takes a moment.

At the start of the game, participants are divided into teams of 3-5 people. The team division can also be planned in advance.

Each team needs one mobile device to join the game by giving their team a name.

2. Playing
In the game, 15 balls are immediately drawn at the start, and then a new ball is drawn at regular intervals. The balls collect around the team’s bingo card on the screen.

Teams can choose a ball and answer the drawn question. If the answer is correct, the ball disappears and the team gets a mark on their card (if the ball’s value is on the card). With an incorrect answer, the ball remains on the screen for later use.
3. Game results

The representative of the customer group has access to a real-time results link, which shows the teams’ earned points, the answers given by the teams to the game’s questions, and the game statistics. The results link is also available after the event day.

Instructions for players

Here’s how to play Quiz Bingo:

  1. Install the free ActionTrack app from the App Store or Google Play Store. Launch the app and join the game by entering the provided access code.
  2. In the app, you will see your 5×5 bingo card and drawn balls surrounding your card.
  3. The bingo game starts with 15 pre-drawn balls. After that, a new ball numbered 1-75 will be drawn at regular intervals, and the balls will appear around your card.
  4. To mark your card, you need to select one of the drawn balls that matches a number on your card, and then answer the given question correctly.
  5. Note that the sum of your last two drawn balls is also valid. For example, if you select balls numbered 10 and 7, and your card has the number 17, you will mark that number on your card.
  6. Each ball and correctly answered question earns you 10 points, and each marked number on your card gives you 50 points.
  7. You will earn points based on the speed of your bingo formations. For one line, you will get 500 points, plus an additional 50 points for every minute under 40 minutes. For two lines, you will earn 1000 points, plus an additional 100 points for every minute under 50 minutes. For a full house, you will earn 2000 points, plus an additional 200 points for every minute under an hour.
  8. Be aware that you will lose 100 points if you answer three consecutive questions incorrectly.
  9. The game can either have a pre-set maximum duration or an end time, or alternatively, it will end when you complete your card.
  10. The team with the highest total points wins.
