Make sure you have the JOIN CODE that you received for your activity.
Make sure participants’ phone batteries are as fully charged as possible. This helps ensure smooth participation and reduces the risk of interruptions.
If you wish, you can prepare for the activity in advance as follows:
It is recommended that all participants install the free ActionTrack app (Google Play / App Store) on their phones before the event.
Participants can be divided in advance into teams (= clans) that together use four mobile devices. Each mobile device can be shared by 1–3 team members so that everyone can clearly see the tasks. The recommended team size is 4–8 people.
Team captains can also be appointed in advance.
The above steps will speed up the start of the event and ensure that everyone can get going smoothly.
Welcome to the Globetrotters’ Blackjack game! Split into teams and choose a captain whose phone will act as the team’s main device. The captain installs the ActionTrack app, downloads the game using the join code, creates a clan for the team, and joins the clan. From the remaining team members, choose three who also install the ActionTrack app, download the game, and join the clan after the captain. Once the teams are ready, you can begin. Have a great game!
Dear participants, a warm welcome to the Globetrotters’ Blackjack game! Before we get started, we need to do the following:
Teams (= clans) use a total of four mobile devices. Each mobile device can be shared by 1–3 team members so that everyone can clearly see the tasks. The recommended team size is 4–8 people.
Team sizes may vary – that is not a problem. Choose a team setup that feels right for you.
The captain uses the team’s main mobile device (phone or tablet).
The device should be:
relatively new
fully charged
equipped with a properly functioning GPS
Note: The game cannot be continued on another device, so make sure the device works properly before starting.
Download the free ActionTrack app from Google Play or the App Store. Grant all requested permissions so the game functions correctly.
Captain:
Downloads the game using the join code
Enters their player name
Creates a clan for the team (Clan view → “Create new”)
Gives the clan a name and password
Joins the created clan first by entering the password
If the password is forgotten right at the beginning, the captain can easily create a new clan with a new password.
Other team members:
Select three team members who:
Install the ActionTrack app
Download the game using the join code
Enter their preferred player name
Join the clan created by the captain by selecting it from the list and entering the password
Globetrotters’ Blackjack is a tactical quiz game that requires teams to use knowledge, strategy, and controlled risk-taking. Teams progress in the game by answering questions and by playing at the blackjack table. Points earned from questions act as the in-game currency. The game has three levels, each offering higher points and bonuses.
Please note: The game includes all necessary instructions.
The game features a blackjack table and Globetrotter-themed questions.
You can play a maximum of 50 rounds of blackjack. This is done on the captain’s phone by tapping the “Play” button.
You can activate a maximum of 50 Globetrotter questions. This is done on the captain’s phone by tapping the “Puzzle” button.
Questions activated by the captain are visible to all team members, but only the captain can submit the answer.
Team members either see the captain’s question exactly as it appears on their own phones, or they may see device-specific content that others do not see. In all cases, the team must discuss and solve the task together.
The game includes Bronze, Silver, and Gold levels. For example, reaching the Bronze level requires one win at the blackjack table and five correct answers to Globetrotter questions. Reaching the Silver and Gold levels is slightly more demanding.
Tip 1: Try to reach higher levels as quickly as possible without wasting blackjack rounds or questions. Higher levels award more points for correct answers.
Tip 2: Toward the end of the game, keep an eye on other teams’ scores and decide your final tactical moves accordingly.
The team with the highest score wins!
