Creative Team Photo Quest

Creative Team Photo Quest is the world’s first team-building activity where AI evaluates each photo submitted by the teams based on how well it meets four defined criteria. The AI provides a score for each criterion, an overall score, and detailed feedback on every aspect.

The team is led by a captain, who takes the photos. Other team members explore themes and various photo challenges freely, helping decide which ones to choose and in which order.

Game features levels, with higher levels offering more points and requiring progress to unlock.

The goal is to collaborate, think creatively, and capture unique photos to achieve the highest score.

Purpose of the game

The purpose of Creative Team Photo Quest is to bring people together through creativity, collaboration, and fun. Players work as a team to complete engaging photo challenges that encourage imagination, communication, and out-of-the-box thinking.

The game is designed to strengthen teamwork by giving each participant a role—team members explore ideas and plan, while the captain captures the final photos. By combining different perspectives and skills, teams create unique and memorable results.

At the same time, the game challenges players to think creatively and pay attention to detail. With the Robo AI Judge evaluating each photo and its name based on clear criteria, teams are motivated to go beyond the obvious, experiment with ideas, and improve their performance.

Ultimately, the goal is to enjoy the experience, unleash creativity, and create standout photos together while building stronger team dynamics.

Game duration and suitability for events of varying sizes

Creative Team Photo Quest is designed to be flexible and adaptable, making it suitable for a wide range of events and group sizes.

The game typically lasts between 1 to 2 hours, depending on the chosen setup, number of challenges, and pace of play. It can be easily adjusted to fit shorter sessions or extended experiences, making it ideal for both quick activities and longer team events.

The game scales seamlessly from small teams to large groups. Whether you have a group of 10 or hundreds of participants, players can be divided into smaller teams, each competing or collaborating within the same game environment. This makes it well-suited for corporate events, workshops, conferences, onboarding sessions, and social gatherings.

Because the game is played using participants’ own mobile devices and organized remotely, it works equally well indoors, outdoors, or across multiple locations. This flexibility allows it to fit a variety of event formats—from casual team days to structured large-scale experiences.

Overall, Creative Team Photo Quest offers a scalable and customizable experience that adapts effortlessly to different group sizes, schedules, and event types.

Hints for the teams

Do not cheat

Take real photos of the real world – don’t photograph images from books or screens. The Robo AI Judge is smart enough to spot these attempts and will award zero points.

Be creative

Don’t just go with your first idea – be creative, be original, and add unique elements to impress our Robo AI Judge. Putting in extra effort pays off.

If you’re missing something from the brief, get creative and find a workaround. Use alternative elements or similar objects to replace what you don’t have. It’s better to be bold than to skip the challenge.

Focus on your titles!

Give each photo a creative title – and take it seriously. Make sure it complements and enhances the image. A strong title can earn you valuable extra points.

Understand the different judging criteria!

Our Robo AI Judge will check how well you followed the challenge brief. If your photo clearly doesn’t meet the requirements, you’ll receive no points.

Content that is illegal, inappropriate, violent, or otherwise outside accepted norms is likely to result in the judge awarding zero points.

The judge also evaluates composition, as well as artistic and creative elements. Thinking outside the box and surprising the Robo AI Judge is always a good idea. Don’t just meet the criteria – go beyond it. Jump into the game with full enthusiasm – it’s worth it!

Judging criteria:

Criterion 1 (weight 40%): How well the photo fulfills the assignment.
Criterion 2 (weight 20%): How well the photo is composed and how aesthetically pleasing it is.
Criterion 3 (weight 20%): How much creativity and originality the photo demonstrates.
Criterion 4 (weight 20%): How well the name matches and complements the photo and how creative and original the name is.

Example review by our Robo AI Judge

Photo challenge:

Take a picture of your team members interviewing an alien!

Team submission:

Name of the photo: ”this alien seems to be quiet”

Photo:

Robo AI Jugde review:

This is quite an adorable submission!

Criterion 1: The assignment asks for a photo of team members interviewing an alien. Here, the teddy bear in costume doubles as a charming ’alien,’ and the setting with a microphone does suggest an interview. However, it doesn’t fully immerse one in an ’alien’ experience. Score: 45/60.

Criterion 2: The composition is nice – both subjects are clearly in focus, and the setting feels cozy. There’s a slight lack of dynamic elements to make it more visually exciting. Score: 12/30.

Criterion 3: Using a bear as an alien is a cute twist, and the little hat adds whimsy. It’s original, but doesn’t push creativity to galactic levels. Score: 10/30.

Criterion 4: The name ’this alien seems to be quiet’ suits the image, adding humor. It’s a literal description but fits well. Score: 8/30.

Overall, a delightful effort with room for parabolic improvement! Total weighted score: 75/150.

Basic rules and overview of the gameplay

This is the world’s most sophisticated team photo competition.

Scoring is handled by our Robo AI Judge. Each submitted photo is evaluated and awarded points, along with a justification and written feedback for the team. The team captain can track the overall score during the game. Teams will see the detailed results and AI feedback once the game is over.

Each team can progress at its own pace and complete photo challenges in any order.

The team members can collaborate – everyone in the Creative Force can browse all available challenges in detail and help find the best ones for your team to take on next.

The Captain acts as the photographer but relies on the rest of the team to decide which challenges to take on. The Captain only sees the title of each challenge and can activate each one just once – to capture the photo.

Once the Captain activates a challenge, it disappears from the game board for all team members.

The game consists of three levels. In each theme, Level 1 includes six challenges, Level 2 has four, and Level 3 has two. Challenges in Level 1 are worth up to 100 points each, those in Level 2 up to 150 points, and those in Level 3 up to 200 points. The team can view all remaining challenges up to their current level.

Level 2 requirements: The team needs to earn 400 points from the Robo AI Judge. The captain can track the score at the top of the screen, though points may appear with a slight delay.

Level 3 requirements: The team needs to earn 800 points from the Robo AI Judge. The team also needs to take and submit at least two photos from each theme.

CTPQ Trophy (=500 points) requirements: The team needs to earn 1200 points from the Robo AI Judge. The team also needs to take and submit at least three photos from each theme. In addition, the team needs to take and submit at least six Level 1 photos, four Level 2 photos, and two Level 3 photos.

1. Game start

Starting the game only takes a moment.

Divide into teams and choose a captain whose phone or tablet will serve as the team’s main device.

The captain installs the ActionTrack app, loads the game using the join code, creates a clan for the team, and the other team devices join both the game and the clan.

2. Gameplay

Team members browse themes and choose challenges, while the captain activates them and takes the photos. Each challenge can only be completed once, encouraging teams to plan carefully.

Photos are evaluated by the Robo AI Judge based on creativity, composition, and how well they match the challenge. Teams earn points, unlock new levels, and aim to achieve the highest score by thinking creatively and collaborating effectively.

3. Results

The client’s representative has access to a real-time results link showing each team’s earned points, their submitted photos, names of the photos and statistics.

The client can also access the activity recap (autoplay), which shows the best photos per theme, and announces the winner teams.

The results remain available even after the event day.
